Photo Essay: Vienna, Austria

Vienna, Austria was always on the top of our travel list. Images of magnificence, elegance, and sophistication swirled in our heads. We couldn’t even afford the hostels there, so we took a day trip from Bratislava.

The rich history of Vienna is unparalleled, as it was the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and it is clearly apparent in the decadence of the city. It is rich in architecture, including Baroque castles and gardens, monuments, and parks. It consistently ranks in the top 5 of most livable cities in the world. It is nicknamed the “City of Dreams”. When we went, the sun was shining and the Easter markets were in full bloom.

Need I say more? In my opinion, Vienna is best portrayed in pictures.
